This blog tells the story of three lifelong friends who decided to embark on a week long 400 mile bike trip around the state of Vermont. Enjoy our stories/pictures/videos!
I was born in Ridgewood, NJ at The Valley Hospital on September 1, 1981 and have lived in Fair Lawn, NJ, Home of the Cutters for the past 25 years. I met the two that you see below me in 1984 in nursery school when our moms forced us to all hang out, and it looks like they did a good job planning in advance seeing as we are all still friends. Fast forwarding a couple of years I went to Fair Lawn High where I played soccer, baseball, and ran track. After graduating, I went to the University of Maryland where I majored in Decision Information Sciences (I still don't know what it is), and received a B.S. from the RH Smith School of Business in 2003. While at Maryland, I enjoyed roadtripping to ACC destinations to support the football team, saw the school win its first NCAA Men's Basketball Title, and was the President of the club baseball team which was one of the founding teams of the National Collegiate Baseball Association (NCBA). After graduating college I decided to pursue a legal career and went to Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware graduating in 2006. Today, I'm living back in Fair Lawn, clerking for a Judge in Passaic County until September when I start a job at a firm in East Hanover, still traveling to all those Maryland games, and after retiring from baseball for 4 years I decided to pick it up again this summer...its been quite the adventure. I can't wait to see how this bike trip turns out...
Jesse in a nutshell: I was born at Valley Hospital in Ridgewood New Jersey on March 2, 1981 (same day different year as Jon Bon Jovi). Fast forward a few days (or maybe weeks, I weighed 4.5lbs at birth) and I began my life in Fair Lawn New Jersey where I lived until my graduation from Fair Lawn High School. As a kid I enjoyed many activities, I rode bikes and rollerbladed with friends. I played many team sports. I took karate lessons. I was a cubscout. I played a few instruments and finally settled on the drums. After high school, I went to the University of Massachusetts in Amherst Massachusetts and earned my BA in Economics and Political Science. Two years after graduation from UMass, following in my father's footsteps, I began working as a commercial property insurance adjuster for Travelers Insurance Company. Midway through my two year employment at Travelers I decided to take the LSATs. June 1, 2007 was my last day of work at Travelers. Beginning this fall I will be a student at Albany Law School in Albany, NY.

I grew up in Fair Lawn, NJ...one of the greatest places on Earth. I enjoyed sports, reading, movies and eating as a kid. Pretty much nothing has changed in that regard. Check out the Burrito Blog as proof. I had a pretty standard Jersey upbringing; I frequented the local diners late at night and spent a lot of time down the shore in the summers. I love baseball. I played in high school, college and still play summer ball for my beloved Fair Lawn Cutters.
After graduating from Fair Lawn High School in 1999 I went to college in Washington, DC at George Washington University where I studied Computer Science and Business. My first "big boy" job was as a programmer at a public opinion polling firm in Washington, DC. I trasitioned to a new job as an IT consultant back home in New York a short time later. This bike trip is part of the final leg of my training for the NYC Triathlon on July 22nd. I haven't been able to train much yet for the bike portion so 60 miles a day for a week should serve me well!
Someday I'm going to invent something awesome. Write that down.
